Now-a-days the majority of the wallpaper we sell is ‘non-woven’. Non-Woven papers are more durable and easier to work with.  With non-wovens you paste the wall, not the paper, so the paper doesn’t become deformed when wet, and once dry, it can be removed completely intact.

We highly recommend getting a professional, experienced, specialised wallpaper installer. Of course doing it yourself  can be fun, but remember that there is an art to hanging paper, so even if you follow instructions perfectly, your end result will rarely be as good as someone with years of experience. Call your local Radford office to get the number of a hanger we recommend.

The famous ‘Woods’ design.
The ultimate wallpaper design house is Cole & Son. C&S is over 120 years old, and retains the same original spirit in the 21st century with skilled craftsmen, combining traditional processes invented by founder, John Perry, on some of the original machinery with the latest modern technology.

The C&S archive consists of approximately 1,800 block print designs, 350 screenprint designs and a huge quantity of original drawings and wallpapers, representing all the styles from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. Amongst these are Contemporary  I, II and III collections, which are attributed to sparking the wallpaper revival we saw in the early part of this decade.

‘Union Jack’ by Vivienne Westwood for Cole & Son.
The Vivienne Westwood for Cole & Son wallpapers are all based on signature designs from her fashion collections such as the iconic Squiggle print from the Autumn-Winter 81/82 Pirate collection and the more recent Cut-Out Lace from the Spring-Summer 07 ‘I am Expensiv collection’.
